Hua Chen began teaching bridge in July 2022 to his two sons, Ryo and Kyo. Both sons play competitive chess but it was Kyo who immediately showed strong interest bridge. His enthusiasm soared when Father & Son came in second place in their first game…Sundays-at-Shriners 199er game in August.
And in October the two were Overall First Place winners in the BCOH 499er NonLife Master Tournament🎉
Kyo’s learning curve was steep! Lessons with Dad, BridgeMaster on BBO, and online play with robots. We are eager to see these two playing winning bridge for many years to come!

Game results are consolidated among all participating clubs for LIKE games. When there is only one game in a time frame...even then that game receives the multiplier for elevated/colored master points. So Open Games are consolidated with other Open Games. But if there is no other 199er at the same time frame, the results are 'stand alone' but still elevated.
KUDOS to FLMers who win elevated awards during STaC Week at local Clubs!
